Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on iOS in Austria Q4 2021

The fourth quarter of 2021 saw interesting trends across the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on iOS in Austria. Here's a closer look at the performance of the leading apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride experienced consistent weekly downloads throughout the quarter, ranging from around 1.1K to 1.3K in the early weeks. A notable spike occurred in the week of December 27, reaching nearly 3K. Active users also saw a gradual increase, starting at approximately 60K in late September and peaking at about 72.8K by the end of December.

Bolt: Request a Ride displayed a similar pattern in weekly downloads, starting at around 1.1K and ending with a peak of 2.2K in the final week of December. Active users for Bolt rose steadily from 3.9K in early October to nearly 5K by the end of the year.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus showed a more modest performance in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 159 and 316 throughout the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 1.6K to 1.9K by the end of December.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw lower download numbers compared to its passenger counterpart, with weekly downloads ranging from about 84 to 156. Active users hovered around the 2.5K mark for most of the quarter, with minor fluctuations.

Finally, Careem – rides, food & more had the lowest download numbers among the top five, varying between 78 and 221. Active users remained under 300 for most of the quarter, peaking at nearly 400 in the last week of December.
